Customers may attend orientation at any Alamo office; Tech Port's in-person orientation is Thursday at 9:00 AM, with arrival at 8:00 AM for WorkInTexas.com registration and check-in. Orientation is the first step; staff discuss the customer's interests, education, eligibility, and training fit. Training applicants must take and pass the CASAS reading/math assessment. Bring a driver's license or state ID and Social Security card; staff also ask whether the applicant is eligible to work in the United States. Funding is not guaranteed by a referral or orientation. Anyone receiving Workforce services must have a WorkInTexas account; staff can reset login credentials in real time in person or by phone.
In-person WIOA orientation at Port SA / Tech Port is Thursdays at 9:00 AM (official flyer; staff confirmed Oct 8). Book 8:15 AM (45 minutes early) so they check in and staff help set up their account. Bring a driver's license or state ID, Social Security card, and proof they can work in the US.
