Applicants must meet WIOA eligibility requirements and be suitable for training. Attend the required Wednesday orientation (9:30-10:30 AM), research a targeted occupation at wfscameron.org/labor-market-information/ (select Targeted Occupations), research an eligible training provider at twc.texas.gov/partners/eligible-training-providers, and complete required WorkInTexas registration at https://bit.ly/2xowSNC. After choosing a program/provider and completing orientation and WIT registration, submit the WIOA application online at https://bit.ly/2Wi1skl. A WFS Cameron Career Coach contacts the applicant with required documents and submission instructions; documents are due within 5 business days. The Career Coach assesses suitability, schedules testing as needed, communicates results if applicable, and develops an Employment Plan for the participant to sign after eligibility and suitability are determined. WFS Cameron processes a voucher for the training school. For ATI referrals, the client should contact ATI for the next start date; WFS then emails ATI an Attestation of Estimated Training Cost form for a cost breakdown and any scholarship amount. WFS emails the voucher to ATI with program supervisor, Career Coach, and student signatures; Dalia Cordova said an ATI signature is not required. An acceptance letter is required only if the school has prerequisites. For support services such as uniforms or tools, WFS needs an official school letter stating the items are required for training. Applicants may come on other weekdays to ask questions, but one-on-one presentations depend on Career Coach availability; Wednesday orientation is required and recommended.
